Hello, my name is Anthony and I am a wedding DJ in Phoenix Arizona. I have been involved with bands, stage performances and wedding events for over 40 years. A Wedding event has its own unique needs. I have spent a lot of years learning how to navigate the complex needs of weddings. I find, even to this day, I am still learning how to do my craft better every year.
Every event needs great music, but events also need detailed music planning to be a success. My goal is not just for the event to be fun, but for people to take the fun memories home with them.
Weddings are a party with purpose…
I originally started doing audio and visual projects prior to working as a disc jockey for weddings and special events. As a disc jockey I play lot’s of fun music for guests to dance and have fun. I can also handle emcee “MC” needs for events. I am very comfortable in front of guests speaking on a mic. I am interactive with guests to help them gravitate to the dance floor or just having fun hanging out. If guests do not like dancing and it does happen, I can shift the music texture to a hang out, party theme.
Dancing is not a make or break condition to having fun at a wedding or party. Some guests that get invited to events will never dance at all, but they still have fun. Fun builds lasting memories.
I will take music requests unless the client has a closed program. Programing flexibility helps the event adjust around your guests taste. Yes, your guests taste in music may be different than your taste in music. Be open minded.
The client has complete control of all aspects of the event. I always like to outline all the clients needs before the event date. Client requests are contractual and will be played at the event. Last minuet changes can happen, I always leave room for flexible changes to any event programing. Being flexible and quick thinking, helps me keep the event moving forward.
All of my music programing is centered around clean edits. I try my best to keep all programing clean, unless the client approves of content that is explicit. In many cases, radio edits can be used in place of an explicit album track.
